The rescue team came to get Helen after the tourist called. While waiting, the tourist learned from locals that Helen had been homeless for years, always looking for food.

The rescuers named her Helen and took her to the vet. She was skinny and sick with a disease from ticks called Anaplasmosis, but medicine could fix it. Helen got better with care.
Living in A New Home
She was about six years old and had always been a stray. But after she recovered, a family from the Netherlands wanted to adopt her. Now, Helen has a loving home.
