Reba, a homeless dog, was found wandering in Houston, Texas, and taken to Vet Ranch.
Sick and Seeking Help
She wasn’t doing well — she was too thin, had lots of fleas, and her skin was also in bad shape with very puffy feet. She was losing a lot of hair, had a really bad sore on her mouth, and the glands on her neck were puffy too.
They scraped her skin to check her condition and found out she had demodectic mange. They started her on medicine right away and gave her a special bath to clean her up.
Positive Response
In just ten days, her hair started to grow back, and the sores on her face were getting better. Her skin looked healthier, but she still needed more care. She got her shots and went to stay with a foster family.
New Home, New Name
A week later, her skin wasn’t red anymore and the scabs gone. Soon, she was all better! She looked like a totally different dog! And the great news is that her foster family wanted to adopt her, so they’re just waiting to make it official. They even gave her a new name, HoneyBee, because she’s so sweet!
Here’s a video showing how much HoneyBee changed:
