At a major league baseball game recently, a dog impressively caught a home run. The Los Angeles Dodgers were playing against the Kansas City Royals the home run happened in the 7th inning when Michael Busch, a player for the Dodgers, hit the ball over the fence on the left side of the field.
The Baseball Dog
Many fans tried to grab the ball as it flew, but a dog ended up catching it. It was a sweet moment that made everyone smile as the dog got the ball in mid-air. The people talking about the game on TV were super happy, saying, “Did the dog catch that? Yeah, how about that!”
A Special Dog
The dog, wearing a special Dodgers shirt for dogs, kept the ball for a little while before giving it to its human. The human then showed the ball to all the other fans. For lots of fans, getting a home run ball is a big wish. And this dog just did it, even though for the dog, it was like catching any regular ball.
Known for Catching Home Run Balls
This wasn’t the only time a dog has caught a home run ball at a game. Something like this happened before when a dog caught a ball hit by Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets. Then, the person commenting on the game said as a joke, “It’s a chew toy now.”
Well done to this dog for making such an amazing catch. It was a wonderful thing to watch!
