Dog Didn’t Want to Follow Rescuers After Owners Failed Him

Getting a dog is a big deal. You need someone kind and patient to really get what a dog is all about and love them for it. Dogs are a lot of work. Sadly, some people who only think about what they want end up getting a dog without understanding this. Having a pet is tough, but they’re worth the effort! That’s why not everyone should get a dog. If you don’t have the heart to look after them, don’t get one.

Bo’s Story

This story is about Bo, a dog left all alone in his little house in the yard by people who didn’t care about him. The Street Dog Rescue in Oklahoma found him with a lot of health issues.

Faith, one of the people who saved him, told The Dodo, that it was wild dogs that hurt Bo. Also, that he had never been to a vet, and his skin was in bad shape. They fed Bo, and it was clear he was really hungry. Faith could see he really wanted some love. After he ate, Bo went back to his little house and didn’t want to come out. The rescue team knew they had to get him out. They got him out of the little house, but then Bo hid under it. Faith and her team tried again to get him out, and he didn’t make it easy.

Rescued

It took about 45 minutes, but they finally got Bo out from under the house. Then, they took him to Pyr Paws and Fluffy Tails rescue. Bo got treated for his skin problem at a vet clinic in Oklahoma and got better.

When Patricia, who would become his new owner, first saw a picture of him, it shocked her to see how bad he looked. But as time went on, Bo got a lot better. A few months later, he was a much healthier and happier dog.

Adopted

The people who saved him knew he needed someone special, and Patricia, who knew a lot about rescue dogs, was ready for the job. It took him about six months to really feel at home, but he did, and he turned into the joyful pup everyone loves.
